Simply put, I'm a person with varying interests who tends to have a sarcastic side but is always up for making new friends despite my initial shyness. Oh, I also tend to be considered a bit 'strange' sometimes. But hey, what's so great about being 'normal' anyway? :>

Zodiac: Scorpio
Chinese Zodiac: Year of the Pig

The Astrological Symbol of Scorpio is the Scorpion. Like the mythical Scorpion, people born under this Sign tend to be strong-willed and wary of being controlled by others. At times they can be self-destructive, like the Scorpion who kills itself rather than letting someone else kill it. They are very determined, and once they've made up their minds they are unlikely to change them. They tend to be stubborn, refusing to give up when others have long since gotten bored and abandoned a project, and getting things done when no one else thought it possible. In this way, Scorpio exemplifies the Fixed Quality assigned to it. They are one of the Power Signs (the others being Taurus, Leo and Aquarius). Scorpios tend to have their own agenda, and work intensely to achieve their desires. People who wish to change a Scorpio's mind often have trouble because they can never be sure what their motivation is; Scorpios are too complex and sometimes secretive to be understood easily. Within the Zodiac, Scorpio is opposite Taurus, the Sign of Possessions. While both Signs can be possessive, Taurus is concerned with personal property and Scorpio tends to be about community resources and group investments. They are very resourceful and self-confident.

Well, back from my trip to NY. I can honestly say I'm glad to be back home. It was an interesting experience and I did have fun, but there were plenty of things I didn't like. Too many people, for one thing, I'm not a very social person, hardly any greenery except in Central Park, which was nice. I just about forgot what the sky looked like because the buildings were so tall and clustered together haha. Did you know they have to buy air space to build UP? Everything was soooo expensive too. I saw one of those awesome spray paint street artists, but I didn't get a painting because the line was too long, which really bummed me out. x.x

Went to: Hershey's Chocolate Factory in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Ellis Island and Statue of Liberty, Battery Park, Chinatown, Central Park, watched the NBC Today Show live broadcast (it was terrible, it was raining and colder than Alaska so I went into the underground mall haha), Radio City Music Hall tour, Trump Towers, St. Patrick's Cathedral (which was under construction but still gorgeous), Rockefeller Center, Tiffany and Co, FAO Schwartz Toy Store (I was disappointed because they only had one small table for Transformers, but I found a whole wall with a statue of Optimus Prime at another store), Disney Store (where some people were singing along to 'Let It Go' from Frozen), Nintendo World, Macy's Department Store, watched the Mamma Mia! Broadway Show, Times Square (where I witnessed a proposal which was adorable lol), Ground Zero (they're building a new mall there - still keeping the memorial of course - called Brooklyn Place), Empire State Building (the line for the elevator was so long so we had to climb several flights of stairs which was awful, I'm scared of heights and no building should ever be that high!), and my favorite part, the American Museum of Natural History (where Night at the Museum was filmed - I took a picture with the Easter Island head). We ate at Potbelly's, Dallas BBQ (the meal was already paid for, I didn't get to choose but I ate a hell load of ribs) and Hard Rock Cafe (I ordered a strawberry basil lemonade - yum! - and a chicken club sandwich.) as well as a few places for snacks.

For souvenirs I got a black and white masquerade mask, one of those Russian nesting dolls, an NBC Studio peacock plush (I named him Reginald), two packs of Transformers cards (one for a friend), three coins (Ellis Island, St. Patrick's Cathedral, American Museum of Natural History), dark chocolate covered Acai berries (from Hershey's), a Jewish spinning top, two CDs from these guys who stopped me on the street (aspiring rappers, I donated a few singles I had and they signed the CDs and called me 'Queen Jessica' lol). Then I got some things for my family and friends. My dear everything was so expensive I shit you not.

Also, for anyone wanting to visit NY...let me tell you a thing... New Yorkers apparently don't believe in trash cans or benches. I had to carry a good portion of my trash throughout out trip because I couldn't find any trash bins and my feet and legs have never ached so much in my entire life from all the walking and having nowhere to sit. Eventually I just started sitting on the floor and stairs haha. I would type more but as soon as I got home I crashed for hours and I just got up. I still need to unpack and take a shower. Like I said, interesting experience, but I'm glad to be home, even if this place is a ghost town in comparison! XD I can also say I liked Washington, D.C. and Baltimore much more.
